MSP go-live expected today
After final systems testing and the end of a successful operational trial, System Operator management yesterday agreed the new market systems are ready to go-live.
Transition work from the current to the new systems commenced yesterday and go-live is scheduled to occur between 11:00 am and 11:30 am this morning. A final review of transition work will take place at 10.45 am and a final go-live decision is expected at that time.
Outage data
When the new systems go live, outage data will be published directly in COMIT.
This data will include outage block data together with the individual grid components that are actually removed from service. The outage block is published in the same format as currently seen in the POCP system.
The component data is a new feature of the new systems. At go-live there will be a small number of inconsistencies between the component data being published due to time stamping variations. This situation has arisen from some recent changes to the components mapped to certain outage blocks, something that normally happen only occasionally as outage block and component mapping is normally static.
We have a medium term fix for the issue which will remove the problem over the next few weeks.
