Project Update
Feb 2011: The second stage of the AUFLS review is being carried out as part of the Under-Frequency Management (UFM) Project; this is to ensure the inter-dependencies of the under-frequency products are accounted for. The UFM project has been commenced and more information on the work can be found on the UFM Project page. Please check the UFM page for all future AUFLS updates.
Background
The System Operator is undertaking a review of the Automatic Under-Frequency Load Shedding (AUFLS) System during 2010. This page will be used as a primary means to keep interested parties informed of progress. Subscribe to the Market Section of our web site to be kept informed on this project.
Technical Review and Survey
The AUFLS Technical Report is complete and has been published in the report section on this site. There are also links to each document futher down this page in the Published AUFLS Report Section.
The report details the findings from the technical studies and survey work, and covers the following areas:
