Asset Owners

The System Operator classifies asset owners into two broad types:

Generators and
Demand Customers (comprising Distributors, Direct Connects and the Grid Owner).

Both types of asset owner are regularly required to provide Asset Capability Statements to the System Operator and undertake testing of assets in accordance with an Asset Owner Test Plan.

All asset owners intending to conduct system tests while connected to the system should follow the Asset Testing process.
