Power Dispatcher Special Meeting

Transpower System Operator is hosting a special meeting of Australasian Power System Operators and (North) American Power Dispatchers being held in Wellington New Zealand the week of 5 to 9 March 2012.

Below is the draft agenda for the meeting, including training.  A highlight is the training content on offer, the practical nature of it (employing power system simulators) and the caliber of the international instructors that will be available.

The training is generic in nature designed to reinforce key operational concepts and good operating principles.  It is applicable to all operators from any jurisdiction, whether from the Northern Hemisphere (60Hz) or the Southern Hemisphere (50Hz). 12 CEH credit hours will be available to APDA members.

The goals of this special meeting is to encourage and promote the formulation and attainment of higher professional standards amongst power system operators (Load Dispatchers, Power Dispatchers & System Operators), facilitate the interchange of ideas and to nurture a spirit of international fellowship amongst power system operators.
